Responsible Trading & Account Safety
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Skins are part of the fun of Counter-Strike 2. We want trading here to stay safe and under your control.
Protect your Steam account
- Turn on the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator.
- Only sign in through the official Steam page — check the address bar shows steamcommunity.com with a valid HTTPS lock.
- Never share your password, Steam Guard codes or Steam Web API key with anyone, including people claiming to be our staff.
- If you think your account has been compromised, change your password and revoke your API key at steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey immediately.
Spot scam trade offers
- Before confirming, compare the Bot's name, level and join date with what is shown on your trade page on our site.
- Decline offers that arrive without you starting a trade on our site.
- We never contact you first via Steam chat, Discord or email asking you to trade.
Keep trading in proportion
- Only trade Items you can afford to lose value on — skin prices go up and down.
- Set yourself limits on how much time and money you spend on in-game items.
- We do not offer gambling. If you feel you are losing control of spending on games or chance-based mechanics, independent help is available, for example from BeGambleAware or Gambling Therapy.
Self-exclusion
If you want us to block your account for a period of time or permanently, email [email protected] with your SteamID64. We will process it within 24 hours.
Minors
This service is for adults aged 18+. Parents can use Steam Family View to restrict access to trading.
